Name: Josh Drosos
Hometown: Schererville, IN
Undergrad: Bachelor of Science in Molecular Life Sciences
Q: What brought you to the MSHM program?
A: Like many of my peers in the MSHM program, I possess a deep-rooted passion for entering the healthcare field and becoming a leader who will inspire purposeful change. As an undergrad student at IU, I wanted to pursue a medical career because of my love for science and my motivation to become a physician who would eliminate the very inequalities my mother faced with receiving healthcare services for her schizophrenia. The fast-paced nature of the program, alongside the Franklin Covey certifications, has allowed me to take my organizational and time management skills to a level I never thought possible. The emphasis on wellness has allowed me to identify my imposter syndrome and create better personal habits I will carry with me throughout my career.
Q: What are you most excited about?
A: I am most excited about my practicum experience with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services and all the new knowledge it will bring me. Right now, I’m very interested in healthcare consulting and am excited about the opportunities the MSHM program can open up for me. I enjoy going to Wrigley Field, watching the Cubs, spending time with friends, and recently becoming interested in biking. These are all things I hope to be able to enjoy even as I move into a full-time career, and I believe the MSHM program is preparing me for an exciting and well-balanced career.”
