Organization
Nexxt Spine is a medical device company focused on the development of implants and instruments for use in spine surgeries. Since it’s inception in 2009, over 10,000 surgeries have been completed using Nexxt Spine technology. Nexxt Spine is a thought leader in 3D printing (aka additive manufacturing) and was one of the first companies to produce implants and instruments using 3D printing. 100% of the implants and 95% of the instruments are manufactured at the Nexxt Spine headquarters in Noblesville, IN.
Job/Project Overview
Healthcare Solutions Strategy and Marketing: As the company seeks to expand into new areas of medicine, the company is currently exploring opportunities in other areas of spine and orthopedics. The focus areas for the project include the following:
• Market research including definining market size, competitors, and market growth rates for each procedure and / or market segment
• Clinical research including current methods, outcomes, and healthcare economics for current solutions in orthopedics, spine, dental, etc, outcomes
• Identify and propose opportunities for clinical, technical, and/or healthcare economic improvements to existing orthopedica and spine solutions. Identify and propose segments or areas for Nexxt Spine to expand.

Preceptor
Ryan Campion, Vice President Strategy and Corporate Development, is an experienced medical device leader with a one-of-a-kind background in commercialization,strategy, and product development. During his 22 years in the medical device industry, he has commercialized nearly 50 products ranging from implants to digital health solutions to enabling technologies and specializes increating and developing new market segments.
Before his recent work in the dental and startup world, Ryan was Senior Director, Marketing for Zimmer Biomet leading global marketing for the $500M+ Spine business unit and led the business unit to its first two growth quarters since 2015. Previously he held leadership positions at numerous medical device companies from Fortune 500 tostartup. He was one of the first marketing hires at LDR Spine which had a successful IPO in 2013 and wasacquired by Zimmer Biomet for $1.1B in 2016. He began his career as an engineer leading global product development projects.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University and completed the Stanford University Biodesign Executive Education program.
