Job Description
The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Service (ADRS) is a part of IU Health’s Community Health Department. The program is a FREE service to anyone living with dementia, supporting someone living with dementia (family or professionals), or anyone concerned about the health of their brain. The service spans 11 counties and offers a wide variety of services focused on support, resource connection, and community capacity building.
Job/Project Overview
We are looking for a student to evaluate and expand our recently launched Brain Excellence Education (B.E.E.) program. The project will consist of data collection and interpretation, curriculum editing, and the development of a tool kit for other communities looking to implement the program. There will also be opportunities to present program material to the next pilot cohort and/or other community groups.

Preceptor
Dayna Thompson is an Alzheimer’s Educator. Her background is in counseling and gerontology. She has been with the ADRS for 10 years and with IU Health / Bloomington Hospital for 16. She enjoys working in a collaborative atmosphere and helping students find their voice and passion as healthcare leaders. Her clients are central to her work and she is convinced that they are the real teachers in this field.
