LeadingAge Kentucky (www.leadingageky.org), a healthcare association with over 100+ long-term care member facilities, is leading the establishment of an Institute for Long-term Care Workforce Development (ILTCWD) that will seek to recruit proactively, train, and retain the long-term care workforce of today and tomorrow for the Commonwealth. New and current employees will be recruited and enrolled into a nursing RAP pathway such that apprentices will receive on-the-job training (OJT) that counts towards educational credits, with related technical instruction (RTI) being provided by our academic partners. Our comprehensive apprenticeship model will offer several incentives to apprentices to ensure high retention and overall return on investment.
Job/Project Overview
The role is focused on assisting the establishment of the Institute for Long-term Care Workforce Development (ILTCWD) across Kentucky. The role will be part of the intermediary team to connect the needs of 100 LTC facilities with academic/training and community partners to identify, develop, and serve the next generation of healthcare workers. This role will also work closely with our recently funded $2.8M Public Health AmeriCorps annual grant – hiring 200 AmeriCorps members annually. This role will give exposure to innovative recruitment, training, retention, and wrap-around program and services.
