Ryan G. Erbe, M.S. I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Health Science currently examining adolescents’ beliefs about meditation. I am also interested in how meditation enhances aspects of self-control including attention, emotion-regulation, along with the neurological changes that occur in the brain’s self-regulatory system after meditating. At Indiana University I teach personal health and teacher prep courses for both graduate and undergraduate students. Recently, colleagues of mine and I published a meta-analysis in the journal Preventive Medicine Reports that examined the effects of online mindfulness interventions on stress and mindfulness. I am currently analyzing my dissertation data that was funded by grants from the Graduate School and the School of Public Health.
