An opening for an enthusiastic, energetic, and creative Public Services Librarian with a Youth focus is available for an individual with demonstrated ability to interact with youth as well as adults. Responsibilities will include providing reference assistance, readers’ advisory, and the development and presentation of youth (ages 0-17) programming. Qualifications include an ALA accredited MLS degree, experience presenting programs for ages 0-17 with a knowledge of Every Child Ready to Read and the ability to use technology to provide services to all ages. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the library, with strong skills in creating and maintaining community partnerships, presenting to parents, teachers and partners on library services, and outreach programming for elementary schools, daycares and social service facilities.
Starting Pay: $19.00/hour
