The person in this position will join a collaborative and collegial group of 13 STEM librarians in the Wilmeth Active Learning Center, Purdue’s showcase integrated classroom/library space and home to the Library of Engineering and Science. The individual will be responsible for working with between 3 and 5 departments and schools in the Colleges of Engineering, Science, and the Purdue Polytechnic Institute to identify and meet the information needs of their students, faculty, and staff, including embedded or standalone instruction, research data management support, individual consultations, and communicating and referring to the diversity of Libraries services, such as open access publishing, systematic reviews, data visualization and maker tools. Establishes a research program leading to publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Participates in Libraries wide initiatives and contributes to faculty governance.
The minimum salary for this position is $71,000.
Faculty tenure-track position with an Academic Year (AY) appointment. Rank of assistant professor.
Start-up funds in support of research are provided for computer/software/equipment, for travel/professional development, and for a half time graduate assistant for two years.
