Systems and Technology Librarian
Job Description
The Systems & Technology Librarian, under general supervision, will provide support for library systems, provide leadership in the implementation of new and emerging technologies within the library, and serve as the liaison to the Office of Information Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, recommend, test, and implement new technologies.
- Plan, develop, troubleshoot, and coordinate digital tools, software and other library technology.
- Maintain knowledge of, and engage in, continuous professional development to keep up with trends in emerging technologies, digital tools, and software solutions.
- Develop strategies for collaboration, program planning, and support for interdisciplinary digital projects and initiatives.
- Maintain and update EZProxy to ensure off campus access to digital resources.
- Maintain the library services platform.
- Provide systems support for all library systems, software, and technology.
- Create content and maintain the library’s website.
- Serve as a liaison to the Office of Information Technology and other academic departments.
- Attend meetings, participate in special projects and serve on committees relating to the library, the University, and consortia.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Education – Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited institution.
- Experience -Two years of related experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of information technology principles, processes, systems and standards, including operating systems, systems security, wireless networking, and digital initiatives and emerging web technologies.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience leading projects or implementing new technologies, preferably in an academic library environment.
- Experience creating and/or maintaining web sites including familiarity with HTML, CSS and/or Javascript.
- Experience managing and/or implementing a library services platform.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of technology trends, standards, information technology best practices, and issues in academic libraries
Ability to:
- Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and research skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description
The Research & Assessment Librarian, under general supervision, serves as a member of the Research & Assessment department. This individual will participate in the library’s information literacy program and facilitate and design the library’s assessment activities in collaboration with librarians and other library staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teach and promote the library’s instructional program based on goals and strategies derived from professional library standards and frameworks for information literacy.

Collaborate with others and work individually to produce and maintain a variety of informational and instructional materials such as online tutorials and reference guides.

Collaborate with university faculty, staff, and students to promote and integrate information literacy.

Facilitate and assist in the design of assessment activities in collaboration with librarians and library staff.

Assist in the development of assessment strategies for the library’s instructional program in collaboration with librarians in Research & Assessment.

Conduct research consultations.

Serve as the library contact for University related assessment activities

Serve as a liaison to academic departments.

Job Description
The Collection Strategies Librarian, under general supervision, supervises the staff in the Collection Acquisitions & Support department. This individual will manage the library resources allocation and serve as a member of the library’s Collections Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of digital resources, including databases, e-books, streaming video, serials, etc.
- Manage the allocation provided by the Library Director for the acquisition of print and digital resources.
- Develop assessment strategies and conduct ongoing assessment of the library’s collection, in collaboration with other librarians and library staff.
- Collaborate with librarians and library staff, as well as library vendors, to maintain continuity of access to library resources through troubleshooting and testing.
- Obtain and compile usages statistics for digital resources and provide analysis pertaining to usage.
- Oversee the Federal Depository Library Program.
- Maintain an awareness of current trends in acquisitions, collections, and digital resource management.
- Collaborate with academic departments on grant funding allocations.
- Collaborate with librarians and library staff on collection review and deselection.
- Attend meetings, participate in special projects and serve on committees relating to the library, the University, and consortia, as necessary.
- Supervise staff in Collection Acquisitions & Support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
