The Indiana Library Federation will be at the statehouse for Library Statehouse Day on February 7th. ILF will be hosting coffee and a light breakfast for legislators from 9am-11am that morning. We are also planning on having tables with information, tech gadgets for legislators to try out (VR Kits from the State Library), and other fun tech stuff (green screen!). We are also hoping to create a big splash on social media that day. With so much going on that day, we need help to make it a successful day! If you would like to volunteer to work at a table, introduce legislators to the latest tech gear in libraries or help us to create a social media presence that day, please let us know. This is a great way to meet future colleagues or fellow library staff and inform our legislators about all the awesome things that libraries do! Legislators need to know and understand all of the things that we do throughout the state and you can help make an impact that day.
There will be a training for attendees on February 1st, from 4pm-5pm. Please let Chad Heck (CAHeck@pike.k12.in.us) know if you can volunteer by Friday, January 27th and we will get back to you by February 1st with more information.

Hi brandy, please reach out to Chad Heck CAHeck@pike.k12.in.us and let him know you would like to volunteer. There is a small $25 fee for this that helps cover lunch. But, he did say there might be funding to help waive the fee for LIS Students, so please ask and see if that is available. Thanks! I know ILF is super excited about the event and really need volunteers.
