As part of her ALA presidential themes this year, President Patty Wong has continued her life-long passion for sustainability and how communities adapt to climate change through library services. Libraries can and should have a role in supporting our communities to adapt to ongoing climate change. This month’s Connect Live session will showcase what some library champions are doing to help their communities and discussing what that action looks like. Patty will be joined by Uta Hussong-Christian, an Associate Professor and Science Librarian at Oregon State University and Michele Stricker, past chair of the ALA’s Sustainability Round Table and Deputy State Librarian for the New Jersey State Library, for an engaging conversation moderated by Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, Executive Director, Mid-Hudson Library System.
You can submit questions in advance.
