Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to be a part of something amazing!!
Students, faculty, and staff in the Schools of Informatics and Computing and Liberal Arts are working on hosting IUPUI’s first Human Library event. We are joining a worldwide movement for social change.
The Human Library is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue.
The Human Library is a place where real people and their stories are on loan to readers.
A place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered.
We are recruiting Books for our Human Library event on April 2, 2018, from 11 to 7. Books will be expected to participate for at least two of the 7 hours the library will be open. During your time as a Book, if you are checked out, you will meet with your reader or readers for 30 minutes. You will be provided training on being a book and readers will be given guidelines for respectful communication.
If you are interested in becoming a book (or if you know someone who would make a great book) in the IUPUI Human Library, please fill out this brief survey so we have your information: https://iu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_aY7hN9IDs1t4S6V
