Join the Music Department for the last Noon Recital Hour Concert of the semester. The performances are free and open to the public. The Recital Hour runs from 12:00-12:50 pm in the Louise E. Addicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall in Northside (NS 158).
This Friday (Apr 25th) will feature a selection of student performances by Raquel Bazán Orive (piano), Megan Redmon (flute), Anna Anderson (viola), Kraig Alvarez (percussion), Quinten Howard (marimba).

The Catholic Student Club Arise! invites everyone (students, faculty,
and staff!) to celebrate Mass on Campus on Monday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. in the Alumni Room (251) in the Administration Building.
We will gather for fellowship after the liturgy. Pizza will be provided! All (students, faculty, and staff!) are welcome!

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is an advocate and leader in equity and education in critical areas impacting the lives of all women. The South Bend AAUW is giving one $1,000 scholarship for the 2025-26 school year.
Eligible applicants must be a woman 25 years or older who is enrolled in an accredited four-year college, junior college, or community college, or an accredited post-high school technical training program. The application process includes an application form, an essay, and a letter of recommendation. Application forms may be downloaded at the AAUW website: https://southbend-in.aauw.net/scholarship/. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2025. Winners will receive $1,000 to be applied to tuition fees and will be delivered directly to the academic institution through the student’s identification number.

ACUE Professional Development Opportunities

In partnership with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Student Success Equity Intensive, we are excited to provide faculty and staff with a unique networking opportunity to complete a fully online 8-week facilitated course that equips faculty, staff, and administrators with evidence-based practices. Participation is at no cost to our institution and includes the opportunity to collaborate with peers from several institutions across the country!
There are three opportunities for faculty and one for staff. They are listed below:
FOSTERING A CULTURE OF BELONGING (faculty & staff)
Fostering a Culture of Belonging will be offered on the following dates. Seats are limited and will be finalized by early May. Available for both Faculty and Staff.
June 2nd – August 5th (including 4th of July Break)
Roles highlighted in this course include accessibility services, admissions, advising, human resources, security, success coaching, faculty (in-person and online), financial aid, leadership, marketing and public relations, and residence life. A certificate will be awarded upon completion.
DESIGNING LEARNER-CENTERED COURSES & PROMOTING ACTIVE LEARNING (faculty only)
ACUE’s mission is to ensure student success through quality instruction by providing courses, pathways, and certifications. We are offering our faculty the opportunity to apply for the ACUE courses below. Faculty will learn evidence-based practices that are proven to increase student engagement, retention, and performance. Participants will spend approximately 2–3 hours of activity per week on a course. Digital badges will be earned upon completion. Available for Faculty.
