This course introduces students to the scientists and healthcare professionals involved with the research and development of vaccines, dissemination of vaccines to the community, and surveying of infectious diseases and vaccine use. The influence of vaccines and infectious diseases on societal beliefs is also discussed, from scientific and ethical perspectives.
Students need to have completed 30 credits, so they are more prepared for a 300-level course.
