The world is abuzz with talk about Artificial Intelligence. So is the World of Education. Hopefully we are getting out in front of this leap in technology so we don’t get run over by it. I have started researching it and there is A GREAT DEAL of information about AI because it is so widespread in use and function. New tools seem to pop up daily. My focus is more the generative AI aspects, how can teachers and kids use the tools in collaboration for their designs/creations. As we have probably all said, we don’t want kids to simply turn in AI generated work. But it is a tool that can help students find and refine their voice or their ideas. I know the Physics of music, but can’t play a note and don’t have the musical knowledge to even pick the right notes to put down. But what if I can tell an AI what I want for a song to use for a presentation and it generates it for me (probably after a couple of iterations). Is that an acceptable use (versus and “abuse”). This journey is going to be a “long and winding road”
