The IUSB Academic Senate joins IU President Whitten in opposing SB 202. We agree that the current bill would jeopardize academic freedom, undermine students’ ability to engage in the critical thinking that employers consistently report that they value, and prevent IU from recruiting top-tier faculty. We agree that the bill would have unintended consequences with the potential to threaten universities throughout the state, as well as Indiana’s economy.
