Due to the weather, we will make the Senate meeting today hybrid.  Zoom attendees will be counted for attendance and will be allowed to ask questions during the meeting. Please read the guidelines for participation to allow for a good experience for everyone.

  2. Rather than simply clicking on the link above, please log into Zoom.  This will identify you as an IU member and give you better access to Zoom’s features.
  3. Once you’re in the meeting, please click the three dots on the top righthand side of the screen and enter your name so you are clearly identified (not by your email address, for instance).
  4. You might want to stop video.  This reduces stress on everyone’s computer.
  5. For attendance:  please type your full name into the Chat.
  6. To ask a question:
    A. Please wait to ask a question until the speaker is done presenting. At that point, the Executive Committee will be happy to field your questions in Chat.
    B. Type your question into the Chat.  Make sure you send the Chat message to “All panelists and attendees.
    C. If we cannot identify you because your name is not clearly posted, we will not be able to present your question to the Senate.
  7. FYI re “private Chats”:  any private chat with a member of the Executive Committee or any other co-host of the meeting is saved as part of the official Chat record.  Those private conversations are not included in the public Chat record, but faculty should be cognizant that these seemingly “private” chat interactions are in fact recorded.

 

All Spring semester meetings start at 1:30 pm in DW 1001.  There will be a passive Zoom option for faculty who want to listen to the meeting, but you will not be able to participate in the meeting.  Click for more information about the passive Zoom option and the Zoom link (posted the day before the meeting).
