From 2018 to 2023, Dr. Miriam Northcutt Bohmert at Indiana University worked with several agencies in Indiana to learn the landscape of fines and fees, for supervision clients on probation, parole, and community corrections. This research was funded by Arnold Ventures and included several states; the multi-state project was led by Dr. Ebony Ruhland at Rutgers University.
