March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month, a nationwide observance to bring forward awareness of including people with disabilities in our communities and to look at the barriers to that inclusion. Here in the Library at the IIDC, we have put together a guide to make finding library materials that we have on this subject easier for you.
The guide is broken out into Books for Adults, Books for Children, and DVDs so that you can easily find what you’re looking for. Feel free to look through our Disability Awareness guide, and if you find something you want to check out, give us a call at 800-437-7924 or send an email at libiidc@indiana.edu and let us know which titles you’d like. If you live or work in Indiana, but not in Bloomington, we can send our library materials to you through the mail at our expense and just ask that you return them within 4 weeks at your expense.
