On Saturday, September 10, 2022, the IU Jacobs School of Music Departments of Piano, Strings, Music Theory, and Musicology, will join forces to present a concert and symposium focusing on the violin sonatas of Johannes Brahms. The day will begin at 10:00 am with opening remarks from Abra Bush, David Henry Jacobs Bicentennial Dean, and will include two sessions, a keynote lecture by scholar, professor emeritus, former violinist, and administrator, Joel Lester. and a scholar and performer round table. The concert will begin at 8:00 pm in Auer Hall.
