Kian Ravaei releases debut EP On December 2, Kian Ravaei releases a recording of his first book of piano preludes, Marvels of Creatures and Strange Things Existing, performed by Brandon Zhou. Each movement spotlights a mythological creature from a different cultural tradition, from the Sprite of European folklore, to the Siren of Ancient Greek legend, and the Simurgh of Persian fable. The recording will be available on iTunes and all streaming platforms. |

Aaron Travers Performances with the Grossman Ensemble and Ensemble Échappé Prof. Aaron Travers will have a new piece, The Nameless Path for 13 musicians, premiered by the Grossman Ensemble and conducted by Oliver Hagen on Dec. 2 at 7:30pm in the Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago. Tickets are available through the link above. All student entry is free with university ID. Then on Dec. 4 at 3pm his piece, Ancient Places, will be performed in the Library and Galleries at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City. |
