Dmitri Volkov releases Risset Metronome app Dmitri Volkov has released a new app, Risset Metronome, available on the App and Google Play stores. This app generates a Risset rhythm, which creates the auditory illusion of speeding up or slowing down infinitely. And more so, it allows any polyrhythm to be used as the basis for speeding up or slowing down! Given that there is almost no music which uses Risset rhythms in the first place, and even less music (was unable to find ANY) which uses basis ratios other than 2:1 or 1:2, Risset Metronome can literally bring you to the forefront of unexplored musical territory! More information here. Please contact Dmitri at dmitri.s.volkov@gmail.com for a promo code to get it for free! Also check out his free and open-source pitch shift game, available here, to mess with your own perception of pitch! |
