Elijah Buerk Premieres New “Crossover” Works Three of Elijah H. Buerk’s songs are planned to be performed at the February 23rd composition recital. The pieces take some familiar texts of the great Emily Dickinson and transform them into relatable, captivating, and dramatic settings that will leave any listener eager to hear more. Buerk sought in writing these songs to find a unique crossover style between opera, classical music, and popular music; his love for all music from Billie Eilish to Beethoven influenced his tenacious decisions. He notes that, “you’ll regret it if you miss it.” |
