Chris Neiner (BM ’17) Performances at Sunday Studio Series Chris Neiner’s “Red Riding Pictures Proudly Presents” will be performed at the Sunday Studios Series in their Sounds of the Cinema concert on June 7 and 8. In partnership with Studio Espressivo, the Sunday Studio Series brings together world-class, local artists for live music at the Murray Hill Galleries in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood. Neiner’s “The Italian Potluck Symphony,” an arrangement of Mozart’s teenage symphonies composed in Milan and Rome, was previously featured in their March concert, Mozart in Italy. |

Anthony Lanman (DM ’08) – New Album Release and Commission Anthony Lanman has received a new consortium commission from the Indiana University Concert Band for Spring, 2026. In addition, he will release his second album Hommages on June 12th, 2025 on digital services, CD and double LP. The album will feature all 15 of his Hommages for Piano, performed by pianist Holly Roadfeldt and released on the Meyer Media label. |

Keith Fitch Performances, Premiere, Residencies In February, Keith Fitch (D.Mus ’95; M.M. ’92; B.M. ’89) received performances of “Ruthless Voicings” (mixed quintet) and “as Earth dreams” (solo harp) at the American Academy of Arts and Letters as part of his 2024 Arts and Letter Award in Music. In March, his new orchestral work, “Mirrors,” commissioned by the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, was premiered by the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. In June, he will be guest composer at the Mostly Modern Festival, and he will spend July and August in residence at the MacDowell Colony. |

Corey Chang wins a Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters Corey Chang has been honored with a 2025 Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The award includes a $7,500 prize and is given to composition students who demonstrate outstanding promise. The scholarship is part of the larger Charles Ives Awards program, which was established through royalties left by Harmony Ives, the widow of the renowned composer Charles Ives. First introduced in 1970, these awards aim to support both emerging and established composers in the development of their work. Past recipients of the Ives Scholarship include distinguished composers such as Judd Greenstein, Nina Young, Han Lash, Kati Agocs, Aaron Travers, and Andrew Norman, among many others. Han Lash’s premiere in San Francisco On April 4, 2025, Han Lash’s new work Orchesography for piano trio, dancer, and narrator, will premiere in San Francisco, CA with Ensemble for These Times performing, featuring Han Lash as dancer soloist. The work was commissioned by Ensemble for These Times with underwriting from the San Francisco Arts Commission Cultural Equity Initiative. |
