Sang Mi Ahn’s Fragile Beings for 4-channel fixed media has been selected by the University of Iowa EMS Big 10 concert series.

Steve Snethkamp’s Lunar Calligraphy 24 has been selected for performance at this year’s Electronic Music Midwest festival, Lewis University, and the University of Iowa EMS Big 10 concert series.

Melody Eötvös’s Die hohle Höhle was selected for both the Soundcrawl Nashville competition and the University of Iowa EMS Big 10 concert series.

Elliott Bark‘s Winter Sketches for String Quartet (2008-09 Kuttner Quartet Prize-winning composition) has been selected for the 15th Biennial Festival of New Music at Florida State University. The festival will run from January 27 through January 29, 2011.

Natalie Williams‘ Five Bagatelles for Piano Solo was recently awarded 2nd place in the Plathner’s Eleven composition competition and was also named as the Special Prize of Gintaras Janusevicius. Her piece Onericic, along with Five Bagatelles for Piano Solo, will be performed in Germany during 2011.  Click for More>>

Jeremy Podgursky’s MINDJOB was premiered in July by Alarm Will Sound at the inaugural Mizzou New Music Festival in Columbia, Mo.  Podgursky was one of eight composers selected from over 120 international applicants to be premiered and recorded by the critically acclaimed ensemble. Natalie Williams has been selected as a finalist in the Iron Composer competition at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory in Cleveland this October. The one-day competition will be held on Oct. 22.

Gordon Williamson’s Vier Stückchen was performed on Sept. 11 at the “Was Hören Wir?” Festival in Höfgen, German,y by Ensemble El Perro Andaluz. He has also recently been hired as sessional lecturer in composition at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater, und Medien Hannover.
