Jeremy Podgursky’s Ouroboros will be premiered by the Lost Dog New Music Ensemble (NYC) as part of the Astoria Music Society series. The first performance will be April 28th at the Waltz-Astoria in Queens with a repeat performance on April 30th at Goodman Recital Hall, Kaufman Center in Manhattan.

Tim Miller accepts teaching position at IU Southeast
Tim Miller recently accepted a teaching position at Indiana University Southeast for the 2011-12 school year. He will be teaching beginning and twentieth-century ear-training classes, Theory III, and giving composition lessons. His piece Sketches on Scars was recently premiered at the 2010 Midwest Composer’s Symposium held at the University of Cincinnati Conservatory.
Student Elliott Bark receives performance of “Winter Sketches” composition
Elliott Bark’s Winter Sketches for String Quartet (2008-09 Kuttner Prize; the same work that will be performed in 2011 Festival of New Music at Florida State University in January) will be performed by Juventas New Music Ensemble at The Boston Conservatory and The Museum of Modern Renaissance in Boston on December 17 and 18.
