Ryan Diefenderfer wins the 2013 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Student Composition Competition
Congratulations to Ryan Diefenderfer for being selected as a winner of the 2013 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Student Composition Competition for his piece, Krakowian Dances. In addition to receiving a cash prize, Ryan’s piece will be performed at the National Association for Music Education’s National In-Service Conference in Nashville, TN in October.

Ezra Donner’s Mountain Suite for String Orchestra will be performed October 12, 2013, by the Chamber Orchestra of New York in Carnegie Hall. The piece was chosen as the 2012 winner of the Respighi Prize, offering performance opportunities for young talented composers and soloists through the inspiration of Ottorino Respighi’s music.
Will Rowe’s work selected for World New Music Days 2013
Will Rowe’s choral piece The House on the Street has been chosen as the American ISCM Section’s selected work at the ISCM World New Music Days 2013 festival. It will be performed by Camerata Silesia Katowice and Anna Szostak on Nov. 13 at the Urania Observatory in Vienna, Austria.
