Jacobs School alumnus, Natalie Williams, was recently appointed as the National Student Chapters Coordinator for the SCI (Society of Composers, Inc.). The Student Chapter Coordinator serves as the liaison between SCI and SCI Student Chapters. The Coordinator provides guidance to SCI Student Chapter leaders and faculty sponsors, develops and implements visioning, and aligns with the SCI secretary to provide administrative services, including regional and national SCI student conferences. Natalie began this role in April of 2014.
Natalie is an Australian composer and United States permanent resident; currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Composition at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, University of Georgia. She completed her Doctorate in Composition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as a four-year doctoral fellow.
