Keith Fitch (BM ’89, MM ’92, DM ’95) currently heads the composition department at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he also directs the CIM New Music Ensemble. He has recently completed works for the celebrated guitar-harp duo of Jason Vieaux and Yolanda Kondonassis and the violinist (and Indiana University alumna), Lina Bahn, as well as works celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Da Capo Chamber Players and the opening of Cleveland’s Museum of Contemporary Art’s new building.
His most recent work, a chamber orchestra piece entitled “In Memory,” was commissioned by the Orchestra of the League of Composers (NY) and is dedicated to the memory of his teacher, long-time IU Composition Department chair, Frederick Fox.
