Welcome, new students! New students often wonder how they might be able to join one of the bands.
If you are a non-music major and want to keep playing for fun, the All Campus Band would be a good fit for you.
If you are a Jacobs student majoring in a non-performance subject such as music theory, musicology, audio engineering, composition (etc.), read on.
If you play the CLARINET, you may audition directly for the band department conductors, usually on Wednesday of the first week of classes. Learn more on our Audition page.
If you play a band instrument other than the clarinet, please contact an applied instrumental studio professor, and ask to be included in their semester auditions. They hold auditions within their instrumental studio during the first few days of the semester. A good place to start is HERE.
