The Michigan State University Libraries is excited to offer a graduating or recently graduated librarian an opportunity to further their development and launch a rewarding career in academic librarianship as a Resident Librarian. We are delighted to be a part of the ACRL Diversity Alliance Program. As part of our second cohort, resident librarians will have the
opportunity to work primarily in a functional area determined by the Resident’s interests and needs of the MSU Libraries as well as a secondary area of interest. Residents from our first cohort are now in tenure track roles. Our goal is to retain residents at MSU Libraries and/or the profession. We are in the early stages of implementing our strategic plan designed to provide welcoming spaces where everyone can work, discover, and create. We also seek to advance accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace and in the services and resources we provide.
The starting salary is $54,000 and is negotiable.
