Annual Meeting Registration and Information
The Society of Indiana Archivists is excited to share that registration for the SIA 2024 Annual Meeting is now open! In partnership with the IU Northwest Archives and Special Collections (Calumet Regional Archives) and the John W. Anderson Library at Indiana University Northwest, the Annual Meeting will be held in Gary, Indiana, on Friday, April 19.
This year’s Annual Meeting will feature presentations on exciting and innovative projects from archivists, librarians, and many professionals in the field, including building up new archival programs and collections, community partnerships, digitization and digital systems, primary-source instruction, and engaging students.
Join SIA members on Thursday, April 18 for pre-Annual Meeting events, including a discussion-based “unconference” workshop, an architectural tour of Gary, and an evening networking event.
In conversation with the Annual Meeting planning committees and the Board, the decision was made to restructure pricing for the Annual Meeting. Both in-person and virtual registration prices are fixed at set rates at-or-below the standard prices from previous year’s events. Annual Meeting registration prices for SIA members have remained between $35 and $40 over the last decade, and the Board continues to prioritize affordability of events for members. This decision was made to both streamline administrative work and simplify the registration process for members.
Registration for the Annual Meeting and the Pre-Annual Meeting Workshop are available on the SIA website or you can register using the links below. To RSVP for the architectural tour of Gary and the networking event, please view the Annual Meeting registration form. Registration is open until April 5, 2024.
