The University of Dayton Libraries are recognized for seamlessly connecting information and services to users, contributing to the educational mission and preserving the history of the University of Dayton. Roesch Library recently underwent a significant renovation designed to meet present and future needs with an emphasis on student preferences, technology, inclusion, and creating a sense of welcome for all.
This position adds and maintains records in the libraries’ integrated library system (ILS) and performs catalog record maintenance. The Collections Support Specialist reviews authority heading records and makes modifications as needed; participates in OhioLINK cooperative cataloging projects; and adds, edits, and maintains local holdings records on OCLC. They will participate in special projects related to the implementation and ongoing operation of a new integrated library system platform (Alma). They serve on the Digital Stewardship and Sustainability Team and assist with organizing and describing digitized and born-digital files for long-term preservation. The Collections Support Specialist reports to the Director of Collections Strategies and Services.
