Description/Responsibilities:
The Community Outreach Librarian provides support for the library’s initiatives focused on expanding its community reach and supporting underserved populations in the library’s service areas. Engages with individuals and organizations to ensure that services and materials are reaching current and new audiences.
Qualifications:
Master of Library Science degree from ALA-accredited school; ability to obtain certification from Indiana State Library; at least two years – five years of relevant work experience performing community outreach and programming; along with building and maintaining community relationships; experience engaging diverse audiences of all ages; valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Compensation: $43,895.90 annually, with an excellent benefit package
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts
