Schedule: Flexible schedule, but generally working hours would be sometime between 8:00 – 5:00 on Monday – Friday
S606: 1 credit = 45 onsite hours 3 credits = 135 onsite hours

Project Summary: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable person who can assist our organization in documenting our history. This project will provide the prospective candidate with the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical experience in historical preservation in a non-profit setting.
Skills required:
- Self-starter / self-directed
- Project and time management
- Archives design; preservation of physical artifacts
- Database design; online searching; cataloging
Completed Coursework (Required):
- S503 Organization and Management; S511 Database Design; S532 Information Architecture for the Web; S581 Archives and Records Management; S582 Digital Preservation; S634 Metadata; S652 Digital Libraries
Strongly suggested but not required:
- S521 Humanities Information or S522 Social Science Information; S533 Online Searching; S623 Genealogy and Local History
Project duties and responsibilities may include any of the following:
- Review of current documents and systems, including pictures, papers, and artifacts.
- Determination of which documents to retain.
- Determination of best practice preservation methods for items.
- Assist in creation of a database, or other online system for internal tracking and public viewing.
