IU Global is hiring a Part-Time Student Website Specialist to help support the maintenance of the online presence for all IU Global units (International Affairs) This role is open to both undergraduate and graduate students on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campus. The role is remote eligible for graduate students and hybrid eligible for undergraduate students, so MLIS students are welcome to apply.
This position will:
- Support the management of IU Global-affiliated websites using a web content management system.
- Monitor and improve UI, UX, accessibility standards, and front-end best practices.
- Communicate regularly with clients relating to requests and projects.
- Provide research and guidance to help the web team achieve successful implementation of goals for each project.
- Participate in meetings related to assigned projects.
- Continually work with campus and office stakeholders to define needs and requirements through email, meetings, and informal conversations.
- Presented with varying issues that they must investigate, test, and research to develop sound solutions that work for multiple purposes.
- Presented with varying requests and must consider multiple sources and protocols to determine the best implementation methods.
- Develop a strong understanding of best practices that relate to ADA/ WCAG compliance for websites.
- Take information for the web and determine the best layouts and presentation for positive user experiences and understanding.
