The Department of Library and Information Science at IU Indianapolis seeks candidates for one graduate hourly employee to support DLIS faculty (Dr. Soo Hyeon Kim) to support with grading students’ assignments in two of her courses: S530 Makerspace as learning environments course or S577 Designing for informal learning environments.
It will be a wage payroll position, working for up to 10 hours per week. The pay is $20/hour for doctoral students and $15/hour for master-level students. The position is NOT a Student Academic Appointment with student health insurance, fee remission, and payroll stipend. The position can begin as early as the candidate desires. This is a fixed-term appointment for one semester from date of hire with strong possibility of re-funding.
This position does not require the hourly employee student to be situated at either IUPUI or IUB campus. All communications will be done via web conferencing applications and the work can be done at any location of student’s preference with the exception that some qualitative data analysis would need to strictly follow the IRB requirements that are specific to each study.
Required qualification
- Is able to commit up to 10 hours per week consistently throughout the Spring 2025 semester
- Is able to communicate effectively through email
Preferred qualification
- Have completed S530 Makerspace as learning environments course or S577 Designing for informal learning environments
- Previous experience with grading
