Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour
Overview: As part of the digitization team, the Digitization Assistant is responsible for contributing to IUPUI University Library’s openly available community digital collections through the scanning of documents, books, maps, photographs, and other materials.
The digitization team has worked with partners such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indiana Repertory Theatre, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, various IUPUI faculty members, and IUPUI’s Ruth Lilly Special Collections and Archives to make previously unavailable material freely viewable online.
As a digitization assistant, you will gain experience in a professional, office environment while practicing skills like communication, problem solving, time management, and relationship building. You will gain experience working with local organizations and be exposed to interesting central Indiana history institutions and projects.

Position Responsibilites:
- Digitization of materials using a variety of scanning equipment
- Image editing using Adobe Photoshop
- File naming and organization
- Assessing images for quality
- 10 – 25 hours per week
- Applicant must be available to work between Monday and Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with scanning equipment
Although work-study funds are not a requirement for this position, students with work-study funds are welcomed to apply.
