Call for applications: OVGTSL 2022 Annual Conference Scholarships (deadline to apply is March 25)

 

The Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVGTSL) is pleased to offer three student scholarships and two diversity scholarships to attend its OVGTSL 2022 Annual Conference in Bloomington, IN. Scholarships cover conference registration and lodging for two nights (May 11-12, 2022) at the conference hotel (Biddle Hotel & Conference Center on the Indiana University campus, 900 E 7th St, Bloomington, IN 47405).

 

Student Scholarships

Any full or part-time student enrolled at an ALA-accredited library and information science school in Indiana, Kentucky, or Ohio as of Spring 2022 (including those graduating in Spring 2022) is eligible to apply. Applicants are not required to reside in the Ohio Valley region.

 

Diversity Scholarships

Diversity scholarships will be awarded to library workers from underrepresented groups and marginalized identities, including but not limited to: people of color, LGBTQIA+, ability/disability, and others who are traditionally underrepresented in libraries. Any individual currently employed full-time or part-time in the library field is eligible to apply. Diversity scholarship applicants are not required to reside in the Ohio Valley region.

 

All applicants must submit:

• Complete the application form, including a 250-word statement summarizing how they would benefit from attending this conference (one-page double-spaced);
• Email their resume to Scholarships Subcommittee chair Jennifer Liss jaliss@indiana.edu.

Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a brief report outlining their conference experience within 30 days of the end of the conference. Reports will be published on the conference website.
