This will include projects and tasks that relate to Corporate Archive / Corporate Communications as well as enterprise projects and will provide opportunities for personal and professional development while working in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Processing and creating inventories of archival collections with preferred archival methods
- Rehousing, arranging and describing collection materials
- Using Adobe Photoshop to enhance digital images and create TIFF and JPEG files
- Using Adobe Acrobat Pro to convert legacy files into searchable resources
- Creating metadata in the Corporate Archives database
- Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned
- Interacting with clients of the Corporate Archives
- Scanning documents, photographs and slides using a flatbed scanner
- Supporting the Corporate Communication team with projects as needed
Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the program (June 6, 2022)
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university required
- Completed at least one semester of study at an accredited college or university
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop & Acrobat
- This is a full-time Intern position (2 days a week remote possible)
- Ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor or graduate degree seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Archival Management, Museum Studies, Library & Informational Sciences or History and must have completed at least two semesters of related classes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communications and strong verbal communication skills to ask questions and to seek support from supervisor
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interest in collections management, archives, and historic preservation
