This award is for students enrolled in a curriculum of library or information science at least part time (two or more courses).
For 2021, the award will be in the form of SLA Annual conference registrations paid for 2021 and 2022, plus membership (student or full) paid for 2022.
(In 2022, when the conference is expected to be in person again, we will revert to the award of conference registration, plus reimbursement of travel, lodging and related expenses up to $1200.)
The winner must be present at the virtual Engineering Community Awards ceremony at the SLA Annual conference to accept the award.
Deadline for Submission: April 30, 2021.
Qualifications:
The SLA Engineering Library Student Award will be given to the qualified student who submits a personal statement of up to 1000 words on how they believe this award will benefit them personally and professionally.
The winning student must be a SLA member in good standing by the time of the virtual 2021 Annual conference and the award presentation.

Notification:
Applicants will receive notification of award status within a month of the submission deadline.
The award payment will be coordinated by SLA Headquarters staff.
The award recipient’s name will be posted to the Engineering Community’s website.
