Online forum: Silence in the Archives: Do You Want to Make a Difference?
Tuesday 2 February 2021
2 – 5pm GMT
I would like to highlight this online forum hosted by the University of Leicester on the theme of silence in the archives. The forum will offer creative forms of dialogue between theorists and practitioners in different sectors that will generate new thinking about how history is presented and understood. It will open with a conversation between Corinne Fowler, Professional of Postcolonial Literature at the University of Leicester and Dr Yewande Okuleye, and will be followed by a series of lightning talks and discussions on different projects and ideas around the themes of archival silences and alternative and interrelated understandings of the past.
The forum is part of the University of Leicester’s National Heritage Lottery Funded history project So That They May Have Life.
