Assistant Professor Dr. Kyle Jones was just awarded best article of the year for his contribution to the journal portal: Libraries and the Academy. The journal focuses on important research about the role of academic libraries and librarianship. Dr. Jones’ article, which is entitled “‘Just Because You Can Doesn’t Mean You Should’: Practitioner Perceptions of Learning Analytics Ethics,” was noted as an important contribution to the literature. It raised serious ethical questions which were supported by strong methods and theoretical insights. The work was funded in part by an ALISE Research Grant. Congratulations, Dr. Jones!
