STEM Assistant Librarian
LSU Libraries is hiring! The STEM librarian reports to the head of Research and Instruction Services (RIS) and collaborates with a team of creative and dynamic librarians to build a research and teaching & learning environment that encourages academic success among faculty, students, and staff. The STEM Assistant Librarian supports teaching and learning by teaching the information literacy concepts and promoting the understanding of the information ecosystem; uses discipline-specific expertise with STEM information sources to support research; develops relationships with faculty and staff to foster scholarly connections and collaboration; promotes the library’s role within STEM departments and other units on campus; and advances librarianship with service, scholarship, and innovative practice.
