Position Summary:
The Krannert Memorial Library at the University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for a part-time Library Assistant. This is a 12-month, non-exempt staff position working 20 hours per week with partial benefits. Standard schedule of work will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.This position will support general library operations and provide support for Public Services, Reference, Technical Services, Interlibrary Loan, and University Archives.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
(Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of customer service and reference experience required.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively with minimum supervision, and effectively use Microsoft Office applications, including competent data entry and word processing skills.
- Must be mobile within library work areas, perform many routine and some specialized work in assigned areas of responsibility, and utilize good customer service and public relations skills.
Desired Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
