Job Summary:
This position assists Evening Circulation Supervisor with the operation of the circulation area of the law library during the evening hours, including the supervision of student and non-study hourly circulation assistants.
This position works Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – Midnight and Friday 1:30 PM – 10 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides bibliographic searching and retrieval of library materials from all libraries at the request of law school faculty, students and staff. Completes search and recall requests, request delivery, and law school faculty overdue notification. Maintains electronic reserves, electronic exam files, assists with inter-library loan requests, and hourly training. Responsible for weeding newspapers on a monthly basis and assisting with the supplementation of materials. Assists with collection projects.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma, plus 1 year of progressive library experience.
The successful candidate should possess the ability to work well with minimum supervision, close attention to detail and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Problem-solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills and excellent judgment essential.
