For anyone who missed our most recent Coffee with the Chancellor, this week’s COVID Superstar is Kara Werner-Sanders. In addition to being an associate faculty member in Health Sciences and Education, Kara is also our Head Athletic Trainer. Here are just a few words that have been shared about Kara: “We should all use Kara as a reference point for being of service. No one gives more energy and cares more toward helping others. Humble, trustworthy, and loyal, she strengthens our Titan Family.” Kara has been instrumental in promoting student athlete health and safety throughout the pandemic. As you can imagine, COVID-19 poses many unique changes to our athletic teams. However, Kara and our Athletics Department have developed robust and thoughtful plans for how to keep our student athletes safe. Kara is also continuously raising questions to help remove barriers and improve the student athlete experience during this time. Kudos to Kara!
