The School of Nursing would like to congratulate Professor Taryn Liechty on the birth of her daughter, Elaine Sue, born 12/21/2020. Congratulations!
Thank You and Happy Holidays!
On behalf of our students, the Honors Program would like to thank all faculty who worked with honors students during fall 2020. Without your dedication and support–particularly during this extraordinary time–our students would not be able to graduate with the honors designation on their transcripts, nor would they be able to experience the enrichment assignments you design for them. We are forever grateful for all that you do. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish our extended Titan family a happy, restful and joyous winter break. Thank you and Happy Holidays to all!

Women of IU South Bend Grant Opportunity
The Women of IU South Bend is a dedicated group of women invested in the future of our campus, its students, and the community. Their primary goal is to support initiatives and programs that will further the growth of the university and the region.
Round 2 – Grants for 2021 – 2022 are due by January 19, 2021. If you wish to apply for a Grant for your project, please contact Sherri Mott -slmott@iusb.edu. She will send you the grant application and budget.
All IU South Bend community members – students, faculty and staff – with the vision and capacity to manage and effectively utilize a grant are encouraged to apply. We are looking for proposals that seek to better the IU South Bend community in any number of ways. These grants are not to substitute for university funds or base budget items and should generally propose to make use of one-time funding to offer short-term programs or make one-time purchases, enhance existing programs or catalyze new program development. Appropriate dean/director and vice chancellor approval will be required. Grants, this year, are available for up to $2,500.
Initiatives that were funded in the previous grant cycle but remain uncompleted, are not eligible for funding in this grant cycle.
While we consider all proposals, our current priorities are:
· Increase opportunities for diverse and underserved populations that lead to success in college
· Create local and/or global community engagement experiences for IU South Bend students
· Support initiatives for the advancement of women as leaders on campus or in the community
· Provide educational, civic and/or and cultural enrichment to the greater IU South Bend community
· Develop a culture of philanthropy in support of IU South Bend’s mission
· Support sustainability projects on campus or in the community
If you have questions, please contact Dina Harris, Diharris@iusb.edu
Or Molly Sullivan, mollsull@iusb.edu
Guidelines and stipulations are on the grant application.

Each RA is expected to plan a number of programming events that meet the social, cultural and educational needs of residents.
RAs are compensated with a bi weekly stipend and free occupancy of a two-bedroom apartment.
