Library Prize – $500
If you completed a significant research project during 2020, you may be eligible to apply for the Library Prize for Undergraduate Research.
The Library Prize for Undergraduate Research, sponsored by the IU South Bend Libraries, rewards and celebrates excellence in undergraduate research projects. The annual Library Prize is designed to honor students who demonstrate sophisticated research skill by incorporating information found through the library’s resources into original scholarship. While consideration is given to the product of the research, the prize focuses on the research process and application of information literacy: the demonstration of library research skills, adept use of library resources, and the reflection upon the strategies utilized to investigate a research problem.
A monetary prize of $500 will be awarded.
Deadline is February 12, 2021.

Tops Off
Now that we are back on campus for the spring semester, we can collect caps again!
In America, 2.5 million plastic bottles are used each hour. That is 2.5 million plastic caps used and thrown out by the hour. Plastic bottles CANNOT be recycled if the lid is kept on.
Take your Tops Off and keep an eye out around campus for Tops Off buckets to put them in.
Some of the lids we accept are pop bottle lids, water bottle lids, prescription lids, sports drink lids, flip caps, hair spray and paint caps, toothpaste caps, and cottage cheese container lids.
Tag us in your social media Tops Off posts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter using #topsoffiusb and #sustainiusb
Thank you for helping keep plastic out of our landfills and environment, as well as making our campus a cleaner and greener place. The lids collected will be donated to the Elkhart County 4H Fairs Make a Bench Program.
