About the speaker: Beth Archie is a professor at the University of Notre Dame and Director of the Amboseli Baboon Research Project in Kenya. She studies the social lives of wild baboons with a focus on how social relationships affect an animal’s health, disease risk, and survival.

About the Lecture series: The Universe Revealed lecture series is a partnership between the St. Joseph County Public Library and Arts and Science faculty at IU South Bend and University of Notre Dame to explore diverse topics in research and creative works in an accessible way. BFA II Exhibition showcases the work of IUSB students graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. This is the first of three BFA exhibitions that take place during the academic year. Each highlights the capstone projects created by the students in a variety of media including painting, drawing, graphic design, photography, ceramics and sculpture. The cohesive bodies of work on view speak to both the growth of their practice and where it is headed as these fabulous artists begin their professional careers. Whats the Fact?

Sexual assault can happen to anyone, regardless of gender identity. In fact, according to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, a sexual assault survivor organization that leads SAAM nationally, 5% to 6% of men and 19% of women are assaulted during their time in college.
“Sexual assault is pervasive and there is no one type of person who is assaulted.”
