In accordance with policies established to provide opportunities for interested faculty to apply for program directorships, Academic Affairs is seeking a faculty Director of International Programs, beginning July 1, 2025.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and facilitate study abroad trips and programming
  • Plan and monitor study abroad trips
  • Assist with trip planning including proposal development,
    budget, & logistics
  • Provide and/or connect participants and faculty to safety training
    and resources
  • Market and recruit for study abroad trips, including providing
    class/unit presentations and updating web and social media
    accounts
  • Ensure and trips are compliant with all related guidelines and
    policies
  • Train and onboard faculty trip leaders
  • Collect and analyze data, including data on program enrollments
    and student/faculty interest and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Bursar to track student payments
  • Oversee study abroad budgetary accounts
  • Manage scholarship awards and fund raising

• Oversee student workers
• Serve as a member of the Overseas Studies Advisory Committee
• Advise students on the International Studies Minor and Certificate
• Conduct annual assessment of International Programming
• Plan activities for International Education Week and collaborate with others planning international programming on campus

Commitment: This is three-year, ten-month appointment that includes summer duties (separately compensated) and, if both parties agree, the appointment may be renewed one time before the next search is launched.

Compensation: For 10-month appointees, a total of three course releases (9-credit hours) will be awarded each academic year. A $7,000 stipend is provided for work during the summer. For 12-month appointees, compensation will be negotiated based on contract.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience with Study Abroad and International Programming
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty and staff on our campus and throughout IU, and with international partners
• Ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize policies and apply best practices as needed
• High level of organizational skills; ability to track multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to evaluate quality of existing practices and refine for improved outcomes
• Experience with budgetary management and oversight
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• On campus presence for consultation, advising, and training
• Ability to travel within state to meetings and conferences relating to International Programming and Study Abroad.Preferred Qualifications:
• Ideal candidates should have experience leading study abroad trips and international programming on our campus
• Tenure or long-term contract

The Office of Academic Affairs is seeking a faculty Campus Assessment Coordinator, beginning July 1, 2025.
Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate annual assessment review and feedback process,
  including 
  • Work with programs, faculty, and offices for the timely
    completion of annual assessment reports in accordance with
    the Campus Assessment Committee Plan.
  • Provide or coordinate training and workshops on assessment
    practice as necessary
• Serve as an ex officio member on the Campus Assessment
  Committee and work with the Committee to update the Assessment
  Plan
• Produce Annual Campus Assessment Report
• Maintain archives of unit assessment plans, assessment reports,
  findings, and other materials, sharing as needed.
• Coordinate and collaborate with others to write assessment-related
  sections of the upcoming HLC self-study report, due in 2027.

Commitment: This is three-year, ten-month appointment that includes summer duties (separately compensated), and may be renewed one time based on the agreement of both parties before the next search is launched.

Compensation: For 10-month faculty, two – courses (6-credit hours) of reassigned time will be awarded each academic year. Additional reassigned time may be negotiated for onboarding and for work involved in writing and compiling materials for the HLC self-study. A $7,000 stipend is provided for work during the summer. For 12-month faculty, compensation will need to be negotiated based on contract.

• Experience with program assessment practices
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty and
  staff
• Documented ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize data from a
  variety of sources to make decisions
• High level of organization
• Ability to evaluate quality of existing practices and refine for
  efficiency/improved outcomes
• Facility with Canvas for data collection (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Ability to travel for conferences and meetings relating to campus
  assessment
• On-campus presence for consultation and training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with multiple assessment cycles on our campus
• Tenure or a long-term contract
• Experience with and knowledge of HLC standards relating directly to
  assessment practices.
